I was ecstatic about the opportunity to work for CLC however I'm just not a fit for this position. For any of you looking to work for CLC they are a great company, very helpful, very organized and nice. However you may want to consider how much flexibility you need in your life. I don't want to be an employee evidently. I thought I did but I don't LOL. Too many restrictions on me knowing what's going to happen in advance and that's hard to do with 3 small children and sports and such. So good luck hunters, I'm off to the next adventure..........

Riggers, I hear what you're sayin'! I also quit for that reason, among others. It is a good company for sure but..... lots of times I was working a split shift which, for me, was harder than all at once. The beginning campaigns were great cause they were simple and all but then the campaigns got a bit trickier---calling those who owed money, calling to get people to resubscribe, and then I've said on here before that the company really wanted people to pay by credit card. Well, w/all the identity theft I just had a hard time pushing what I wouldn't do myself ya know? Right now I took Br*ghten even though I said no more phone jobs w/5 kids but I was desperate. It threw me right back into reality again. Today I was talking to someone and my 3 yr old came in begging for his lunch. Oh ya! Embaressing I want this to work cause the $$ is wonderful but I just don't know if I can hack it again. It's so much harder than people think.

It's not two months in advance but by Wed this wk I have to know what I'm doing by Friday next wk. And part of the prob is they keep getting on to me about contacts, well it's hard for me to work late b/c then my oldest and LOUDEST is home. So essentially they are keeping going to tell me I have low contacts. And I don't like not being up to everyone else. If I can't do the job as good as they can then I might as well let them find someone more suitable.

Kerry, It's calls made to businesses. Right now I'm calling businesses asking if they've ever considered selling their business and if they're interested then I make an appt. for someone to go and talk to them. But... I've been told there are different calls. So next week there's a good chance I'd be working on some other type of calls. I do like it though. The people are business owners so they're nicer than people are when you call their house. And then you're only calling 9 to 5. The only thing that makes me nervous is that I've been told Brighten does expect good results for the 12$hr they pay so I'm just hoping to live up to that expectation. CLC is CustomLoyal.com I think(otherwise it's called Customer Loyalty Concepts). You're making calls anytime between 8 to 9 if I remember right, making sure their newspaper is coming, coming on time, in the right spot, etc. Then as you get better and have been w/them for some time you're making calls to people who owe money or have cancelled their paper and you're trying to get them to come back. It's not that the people are mean but you get those few who are and then your name comes up on their i.d. and I had some call me back. It wasn't any big deal but still. Brighten is Brightenemployment.com I can't say what the hiring status is though. Let us know how it goes

OOOps you're right Luv, it's Tiffany w/ Brighten that's email doesn't work and doesn't ever answer her phone LOL. Guess I got Lori on my brain today b/c I trained for CFWP today. I'm really scared of working a month before I get paid soooooooo...worried I won't be able to make it that long w/o a check. But I'm willing to do part time until I get to where I feel comfortable w/ that one just to see how it goes.

HA HA HA! Now I'm lost I was with ya till you said Lori w/CFPW. What's that? I thought you meant Lori w/CLC cause that's who was my immediate supervisor. How funny!

I've been contacting Robert Poole at rpoole@brightencommunications.com. He takes awhile to get back but he does eventually. He's been real nice but I've been told from others that if you work for Brighten you're pretty much on your own. That's why this board has been a lifesaver. SO what's CFPW? I never did get that

Well the first day of work I had some questions for him before I started calling. I called & left a message around 8 in the a.m. and he called back @ 4 when it was too late to start working. Then someone told me he was faster to get a hold of by email so I had to email him w/a couple of ?? and he emailed be back about 4 hours later. It was like after hours time too but he did respond at least. I haven't had to contact him since but I had a booboo w/work today so he may be contacting me, haha
