No doubt you have to be careful of some leads at Craigslist, but it is a great resource for leads.Everyone here should try out this handy site someone shared with me a while back. http://www.clsearch.org/ (The previous link was updated 12/26/2004) Put a common word or phrase in the box like "work from home" or "telecommuting is OK" (with or without the telecommute box checked) or a specific job title that you are interested in and you'll get results for all Craigslist locations. Everyone can do it! Yeah I shared it at Pam's forums last week and the word has spread fast. It really does save a LOT of time! Yes, it is pretty neat I do find I get better results if I search on my own, but maybe I'm just doing something wrong ------------------ Nell Taliercio Connecting You With Your Successful Virtual Career! www.MommysPlace.NET [This message has been edited by nellers (edited August 30, 2004).] IP: Logged |

Just put resume in the keywords box. Practically every job lead is going to have that word. Then just quickly scan the job lead titles. Soooooo much faster!Barb ------------------ www.RPG911.com "Your On-call RPG Resource for AS/400 Solutions" www.TeleworkRecruiting.com "Where work and professionals are both at home" IP: Logged |

Barb, that keyword did the trick! Thanks!Do you happen to know if it's ok to post the "not ok to repost" job leads from craigslist on the boards and just not on websites (I know I cant post it on my website, but wonder about boards) ... or not to post them at all anywhere? I've seen soooo many wonderful looking job posts but they say not to re-post and I'm just not sure exactly what they mean by that. Anyone know? ------------------ Nell Taliercio Connecting You With Your Successful Virtual Career! www.MommysPlace.NET [This message has been edited by nellers (edited August 30, 2004).] IP: Logged |

Hi all,I saw the discussion here about my script. I have since updated it and moved it to http://www.clsearch.org I also added For Sale/Wanted, and Resumes in addition to the Jobs search, as some have request. More to come, once I fix a bug with "visibility:hidden" form elements. IP: Logged |

It's hard to see what you're doing. Can you tell me?Or try what I do. Enter this (including the quotes) in the keyword search box and do not check any other boxes. "Telecommuting is OK" It scans all cities, so please be patient and don't do anything with the page loading until it is done. The top of the page will still look the same, but you should then scroll down to view the various listings it has returned. Barb, okay tried that and still nothing. Reading the directions (for the one millionth time today..lol) it says: "and return a list of links that popup in a window (please enable popup blockers, although FireFox and Google blockers work fine)." So I went to options on google and enabled the pop up blocker (which seems in my limited pc knowledge to be counterproductive since it would seem to BLOCK the new window from opening right?) and tried the same thing again. Still nothing. Is a new window supposed to open? Sorry, I think I'm just overloaded on sweets and rich food from the weekend..lol Edited bc I can't spell today [This message has been edited by meg27599 (edited December 27, 2004).] IP: Logged |

The results page is not a pop-up, but each job lead you choose to look at is. So pop-up blockers can't be used, although Mozilla does block pop-ups but works! Go figure!

Well, I'll wait a while and see if he lets you know anything. Thanks for trying to help though! I think I understand it now though. The linsk will appear under the search options, this making the page "longer" per say where I would scroll down that page to see the links. IP: Logged |
