Hello. I am new to this board and am wondering if anyone has a listing of legit companies who hire WAH people who reside in Canada. I recently applied to WAHA (Work At Home Agents), passed the test but then they sent an e-mail stating that they see I live in Canada and they are not hiring Canadians at this time. I only wish they wouldn't give us Canucks the option of choosing CANADA as the country on their drop down menu when going through the on-line application!! I also heard about Pamela's "momsplace" website but can't afford to join right now due to financial difficulties. Pamela, is there a way to gain access to your job listings and pay later for service? Thanks to all!
I just got info that Swiss Chalet and Pizza Pizza hire home order takers. So far I know that Swiss Chalet(Cara Foods) requires one to go into their training facilites and train on a Sat and Sun before starting work at home. I know they do this in Toronto...do not know if they do it in other large cities. Maybe call other large Pizza companies, fast food restaurants etc that offer a call ahead ordering option and delivery/pickup??
I am actually going in this weekend to train for a position with Swiss Chalet...

Hi Mitts, I understand your situation. I would be happy to share a couple of company leads I have, but I can't offer a membership upfront. I am sorry. I have given away so many memberships in the past for every sad situation I come across, and not only have I been scammed (!), but half the time I don't even get a "Thank you"! However, I still can't sit here and not try to help someone. What is your professional preference? And, what are you willing to do? I hope I didn't come across as snotty/snooty/selfish. My heart is with everyone here, believe me. Pamela Telework Recruiting www.teleworkrecruiting.com Where work & professionals are both at home.

I understand Pam, we've all got to make a living. I appreciate you offering to help me out anyway, you are very kind. Hopefully soon I will be in the position to subscribe to your website, but right now I need the work. Here is a little background:
I have been working in the Customer Service/Support field for more than 12 years now, working for a software company for 2 years to a satillite service provider as well as an ISP here in Canada. If you can help me with any leads I would be in your debt.

Thank you Pamela and Menmikey, you both have given me some hope. I have applied to the job leads that Pam sent and have checked out the beyondmarketing link, although when I clicked on the "submit" button to submit my resume, there was an error message that Frontpage could not run script. Does anyone currently work for Beyond Marketing? How hard is it to contact them...I called and left a message with Kimberly but so far no call back yet.

Thank you for the information Marg! Hopefully I will be able to work for either of the companies you've listed. I live in Halifax, Nova Scotia Canada but would be willing to go to Toronto for training if given the opportunity and a week or two advanced notice (in order to book flight or train). I have applied to Toucan via email, and the Swiss Chalet job looks good but I require additional info. Does SC pay hourly and if so how much? Is it full-time (which I would prefer) or only a few hours per week?
I REALLY appreciate you posting the job offers Marg & thanks again!

Oh blast it!! I just lost my posting..so here goes again...
Yes..saw you were in Dartmouth my husband relocated to a new job in Halifax last Jan/Feb and is living in Dartmouth!! He was downsized from his IT job in Toronto...he commutted to TO from our home. My dd, mom and I have been down east many times over the last 7 or 8 yrs and love it!! Though lately it's been to QUIET places in PEI..lol..guess it's back to NS this summer.
Oh yes...use BeyondMarketingOnline email addy and email them or call them. This might be another option for you.
My niece's bestfriend works for PizzaPizza every night from 11pm-300am after kiddies are in bed...will check and see what kind of $$ she makes. She is in Toronto.
I will warn you though...2 yrs ago this winter I started looking for a telecommuting "job" online to no avail except for BeyondMarketing and one other...which now I can't remember..a friend tried the other one(not BeyondMarketing) and it was not good! I did look inot BM but at the time I did not have highspeed internet.
The other thing is possibly contact other larger restaurants like pizza companies etc and see if they have homeorder takers...mmmm...I do not know about places like Pizza Nova etc...
Okay...think thats it...I will email you shortly!

Marg there is a correction I'd like to make with CRM. They are currently hiring Canadians but you must have a plan (preferably a flat rate plan) that allows you to call into the U.S...please email me if you have any questions.

Thanks.....I must have missed this earlier. When I emailed my resume to them it was Rick who replied and gave me that info...mmmm.....I will have to check it out again. Thanks...Though the only way for us right now to get around the LD thing is a broadband connection for calls...which I am investigating for future use.
Just was hired for ecoding up here so getting that going first...
