Well I signed up with a dropshipper, doesnt seem as good as the one suggested on this site but it was cheaper to get started and try it out, anyways, I have a couple things listed on ebay already,a tv universal remote and a playstation 2 memory card, I am trying to at least get the msrp for them so I can make some kind of profit but I have seen the same items on ebay starting at bids of 99 cents! how are people doing this? and how can I sell my products when people can find them so much cheaper? please help,

Christina Xtinad51279@aol.com

here is the dropshipper I am using www.wholesalemarketer.com

You can do an advanced search at eBay for completed auctions to see how much items are selling for. Then, only list items you can make a decent amount on AFTER fees.

Most of those people make money by selling in volume, not individual items. I sell books, and I find that books I bought from a wholesaler for $16 I'm having to take a loss on because others are selling them for $5 or less at times. When I cannot take a loss on them I price them higher, sometimes at cost, and have free shipping or something else that makes me stand out. I know that personally I have chosen to purchase a higher priced item because the shipping was either free or more fair than the other person's, or I liked their feedback or their terms more. If I had to choose between a .99 book with $10 shipping (and yes, I saw that on ebay) or a $5.00 book with media mail or free shipping I would choose the $5.00 book in a heartbeat because that seller is being fair. The other seller is trying to make money off shipping instead of the item.

I'm trying to build a reputation, not necessarily as the cheapest but as one of the best. I ship quickly and price fair. Sometimes you can't list for cheap. Sometimes you do list for cheap and you get burned. Open an auction for what YOU want and see where it goes from there.
