Hello, My name is Gail McHugh and I own Designer Discounts Galore. I am a wholesale provider of Childrens High end clothing from Macys, Bloomingdales etc. Myself and my Aunt own this bussiness and it is our baby. We supply to local Boutiques, and Fleamarket sellers and are looking to expand our bussiness and to allow stay at home Moms to make an income without having to lay out money as an innitial investment. We got to talking one day and said, if we could get actual Ebay sellers (with Good Feedback ratings) to list auctions for us, this would be great. So, we are offering you an opportunity to sell clothing for us on Ebay. You will not have to do anything but list the auction. Lets say we sell our childrens clothing @ $4.00 per piece, and you run a wholesale auction for us for 100 pieces of Macy's childrens apparel. You would know that the auction would have to reach $400.00 to pay us for the load befor we dropshipped to your buyers.. So if the auction hit $450.00... the $50.00 would be yours to keep... You pay us the $400.00, keep the other $50.00.. and we dropship to your buyer with your address on the lable so they do not know it is not comming from you.. If the auction does not reach a certain price over the $400.00 you would need to make to pay us to dropship, you owe nothing.. We are also Ebay Sellers.. our Ebay ID is Designer_Discounts_Galore We are new to Ebay, but not new to the wholesale bussiness at all. We have excellent references to provide to you.. We have accsess to thousands of pieces per month.. The earning potential for you would be endless.. If you had 10 auctions running a week for us.. all 100 piece lots that reached $450.00... That is a $500.00 week for you.. We would provide you with all images of clothing that we supply.. You can even direct emails to go to our email address so you are not bothered with all emails.. Have you done any research as to what the going rate for these clothes are on eBay? The reason I am asking that if someone listed one of these lots for you and sold it for $450.00 the listing, final value, and pay pal fees would come to $40.83. So unless these lots would sell for considerably more that $450.00 there really isn't any profit in it for the seller.
What would the shipping costs be for a 400 piece lot?

I would have to agree with you Jill. This is not profitable for any seller. And most lots that I have seen. I have never seen it reach that much. The seller is doing all of the work, but would only make 10.00. That would not be a good home business! And if it didn't reach the price the seller asks they are still liable for all ebay fees. And If they accept paypal there is a fee too. So the only one is would really make money is you Gail. Good Luck!

Honestly I haven't looked at the clothing lots very much and I have no idea whether or not a cost of $4.00 or $4.50 per piece is a good price. Or at what price one could expect to be able to resell those items at on eBay.
I am wondering if maybe it would be a better market for Gail if she is looking to sell by the lot to advertise on liquidation.com or surplus.net?
I think that this is worth discussing and I would like to hear back from Gail what she thinks these items will sell for per piece, and what similar lots are selling for on eBay.
