Okay I've got my new iron, now I need an vacuum. My old faithfull, lets just say, it's time to retire it. It works real good, it's just the rest that can't keep up.

I'm looking for a bagless, no filter type of thing. Do any of you ladies have anything like this and what are thoughts about what you have.

Thanks!

Mine is on it's way to dead also. I keep seeing those commercials for that new dyson (i think that's what it's called) vaccuum. They say it's bagless and blah, blah, blah, and never loses suction. Which mine always loses suction with all the toddler debris.

Get the Dyson!! You will love it, worth every penny. I have converted 4 people to buying a dyson after borrowing mine. It is more expensive, but unlike other bagless vaccuums, there are no filters to buy.

Go to amazon.com and do a search for dyson, there are a multitude of reviews on the vaccuum and they are all glowing!

I have a - Eureka, The Boss - Vacume (I know I'm speling it wrong but the corect way to spell it is so strange to me LOL) Cleaner. I do love it, it picks up everything. I can't say I'm in love with the bagless feature, however. I can vacume for about 5 minutes and then I have to empty the Yuck compartment out. It's dusty and it makes me sneeze. And then yeah - theres the HEPA filter inside. =\

Suction/Cleaning - Great
Bagless/filter - Pain in the backside

Whatever you do..DO NOT buy a Delphin! The thing cost $1600.00 and you have to vaccuum at least twice to get everything. Plus it is such a hassle to set up and take down. I am still mad at my husband for buying that thing and it's been over a year now. I'm ready to go and buy a DirtDevil from Wal-Mart and call it good!

LOL...it's pretty bad when you need to take anger management classes over a silly vaccuum .

I'm with Nonigirl- get the Dyson. I absolutely love it. We got it after I killed our Eureka, and it is amazing. We got the Animal version. Not only is it a lovely shade of purple, but it has settings for bare floors, as well as carpets. It gets up every speck of cat hair in our house, and I can use it everywhere.

It is expensive at first, but its a one time cost, and since there are no filters or bags, its pretty much the only cost you will ever have with it. I don't know about the other models, but the Animal came with several different attachments, so you don't have to pay extra for that stuff.

And it has an amazing rating on Consumer Reports.
