Hi,

Is it possible to sell Tupperware on-line only, without having house parties? If so, can you still make decent money? I appreciate any information.

Thanks!

I do not know of many people in Tupperware that make a ton off of their website. I pay to have my site upgraded and maintained by someone. I have gotten one sale since 2-04. I use it as a reference to a product and sale items. You can visit it at www.my.tupperware.com/melindadarby

ps on website we only make 20%

You can make money doing Tupperware online if you have another non Tupperware website that you can post your banner on. I had one consultant that had websites about pregnancy, babies, etc. and she sold $500-$1000 each month.

Also, you can sell products on Ebay so that helps too!

You are NOT allowed to sell new products on ebay! Only the vintage stuff. It is done but it is not what tupperware wants. The online program has changed though & you now make 25% on the sales & the prices match the catalog.

Sorry but you are wrong. We can sell our excess inventory on eBay. Once you buy something it is in your inventory. Here is the response I got on 8/5/04 from Tupperware's Attorney.

Dear Penny-

Yes. We recognize that eBay is an attractive outlet when you need to clean
out the closets.

I would appreciate a prompt reply to this question.

Thanks!

I understand that you are allowed to sell the excess stuff. I also know that Tupperware is not wanting NEW stuff on ebay & is working to find a way to stop that from happening. Especially with the FlatOut, which they specifically asked us all not to put on the web until it was released worldwide. Many people are able to buy the New products for less than what we sell them at the party & I personally think it hurts our business. If it is working for you though, good luck. I just know our distributor as told us that Tupperware doesn't want the New stuff up & is working to fix that problem. Sorry if I gave misinfo.

I emailed Tupperware & asked where they stand on the subject of selling on ebay & this was their response to me.....

Dear Katrina,

Thank you for contacting us. We appreciate the opportunity to clarify whether you may or may not sell Tupperware products through auctions. Here is what is says in the Consultant agreement. "I agree not to sell Tupperware brand products in a retail establishment ( trade shows or flea markets), unless such retail establishment has been authorized or endorsed by Tupperware Corporation. I agree not to advertise, offer for sale, or to sell Tupperware brand products on the Internet or other interactive computer network, unless such advertising, offers for sale and such activities are conducted on an Internet site expressly authorized or sanctioned by Tupperware Corporation, its subsidaries or affiliates".

Again, thank you, Katrina, and I wish you continued growth and success with your Tupperware business.

Sincerely,

Tupperware Customer Care

Hope that helps with the question of Ebay.

Hello Everyone,

First of all...I do 90% of my sales Online thru my.tupperware website and I make good money doing it.

You do NOT need to invest in a separate website like someone else suggested, that is hogwash. You need to learn how to promote and market yourself online and how to do it offline that points to your online website.

Next....I have spoken with Tupperwares legal Dept many times about the issue of selling on Online Auction Websites, is AGAINST Tupperwares Policy to sell Tupperware Online at any unauthorized website and Ebay of course would not be an authorized web site!

Tupperware doesnt have time to police the consultants who do not follow policy.

Shelly

Hi Shelly--or Ravish30.

I am thinking about getting involved in Tupperware and I'm really curious to know how you have had so much success with online sales. Would you mind sharing how you have marketed yourself and your website?

I'm really new to this home business thing and I appreciate your time. Thanks so much!

Jessica

Hi jessica

Well it takes a GOOD manager to train you correctly for success.

I made it my business to educate myself properly on ONLINE promotion and on OFFLINE promotion before I started recruiting and I train my consultants to follow in my footsteps.

I train them by using a MONTH to MONTH business building program that I myself put together for them and I also keep in contact with them to share what works for me and what hasnt worked.

I also keep a private message board that is updated almost daily and I broke it down into sections with one section on ideas to promote their business online and another for offline sales and so forth.

So my advice to you is if you JOIN Tupperware make sure you check out the person who is recruiting you to make sure they themselves KNOW how to promote a business online properly.
