It's time to stretch beyond your comfort zone again with a "think big" challenge! Does anyone want to start a challenge with me on January 15th?
Background: This summer, some of you participated in a "think big" challenge with me. Although I didn't meet my personal monetary challenge during that time, I walked away with a product that's making money for me every day, I connected with a whole bunch of great business folks, etc.
In other words, that challenge was one of the best things I ever did, and I'm still profiting from it.
So once again, I'm setting a goal for myself that's outside my "normal" limits. Starting January 15th and running until February 15th, I'm making a goal to earn $3000 MORE than I usually do.
It's a challenge, but it'd doable.
Who else is up for a challenge? If you'd like to join me, post your personal challenge in the next few days (then privately lay out an action plan to accomplish it). We'll support each other and post our progress here.

I'm with ya Becky! I've got a few ideas in the back of my mind but, I don't want to make a goal that's out of my reach and get bummed over it so, I'll put a lot of thought as to what goal I'd like to make and how to make it happen

I'm way ahead of you Becky
My challenge is to make $1,000 a month - every month - by the end of February. Maybe that's not very big and I should shoot for more........in fact I think I will.
My challenge is to make $2,000 in February.... is that "big" enough?
Most of it I plan to make with affiliate programs, which right now earns me around $300/month. Sooooo....I have a LOT more work to do to earn an extra $1,500 or so. I'm going to do it though, and if I fall short that's ok.

Actually, for all practical purposes our challenges are about the same (just different dollar amounts--you need about $1500 more, and I need $3000 more to meet the goal). So I suspect we'll be able to support each other quite a bit during this one.

Yes they are about the same, except for you are looking for the affiliates and I am one (just for different products)
I do have 2 main ideas as to how I plan to accomplish this goal:
1. Revamp my website/tweek current pages
2. Add more pages which are similar to ones that have done well for me already.
Durring Christmas I stumbled on a few hot markets and really zeroed in on my SEO skills. Those have only gotten better over the last few weeks, and now I have around 25 pages I built last month sitting in the top 10 searches for their keyword phrases. Those 25 pages earn me about $10 per day total, so will need another 125 pages that will earn $50/day so I would meet my $1500/month goal.
Right now I have already built another 24 pages that haven't been ranked yet on Google. So really I just need to build another 100. BUT - instead of spending my time building more, I should improve the conversion rates on the current pages. Sooo, what I would like to see is those original 25 pages double so that they bring in $20 per day instead of just $10. That way I would only need to build just about 50 more (some I realise I'm going to be way off and either won't be ranked the way I thought they would, or won't make any money - that's why I'm guessing I will need more than neccessary).
Also I realise that in order to meet this goal by the end of February, I will need these pages to be done by the end of this month so they will be ranked by the begining of February (I have my own special way of doing things that I trust, and I know that my pages will be ranked in a matter of a week or two). Most of February will then be spent tweeking those pages I've built this month.
Wow ok this is fun and I'm getting excited LOL.
So let's see what we have now:
Challenge: $1500 with affiliate programs in February
Goal: Build 51 more pages this month, plus tweek my current pages (right now there are 49 good pages to tweek).
HOLY COW what have I got myself in to?!?! ROFL
Ok no big deal, I can do this right? This week I had already planned on tweeking those current pages (actually already started - have 21 done already!), so that's no big deal. I'm also prepaired to start building more. I have it on my to-do list for the week to build another 7 pages, so then the next 2 weeks I'll have 44 more to go. That's 22 pages per week and 4.4 per day (I don't work weekends, but I may have to durring this challenge LOL). Now, aside from all that:
Obsitcles 1. Revamping main part of website This week before I can start in on building those new pages, I've got plans to revamp my entire website. That's an easy job, just VERY time consuming since I have 100+ pages ASIDE FROM the ones I've been talking about. The design is finished, I just have to change the code on all the pages. (FUN!)
2. I'm helping someone else build a website. Again, not a real problem, since I'll only be working on it on the weekends when he's here. Even then that's only every other weekend. Still it's going to prevent me from doing any of MY work on the weekends in case I start to fall behind.
3. The 21 Day Challenge at Total Life Success. I'm already doing a personal challenge, and it has nothing to do with income. My goal is to get my house cleaned and keep it that way. I really really want to keep up with that one too, so taking on extra work while keeping up with my house is not going to be easy. Although when I set this other challenge, part of it was not letting my work suffer. It was about creating the habit to juggle both business and home, so this is going to be the real test!
Well there you have it - now that it's all typed out it doesn't seem so impossible. Still a challenge though

I would like to make at least 1,000 dollars a month doing promotions, selling avon/mark products, and working as an independent contractor for CRM. I know that isn't a big goal, but I need to save for a trip to Michigan in June, contact lenses, and new clothes.

Nice to see you're on board, Dan. Just make a goal (though make it challenging), lay down an action plan, and then work on meeting that goal from Jan 15th to Feb. 15th (or whatever timeframe you choose).
Nice to see you on board too, Melony! Also, it doesn't need to be a big goal by anyone else's standards--just make sure it's a little challenging (but doable) for you.
And Kara...WHEW!
Guess what, all? If every day was like yesterday, I would more than double my goal. Dontcha love those good sales days?

Whoo hoo go Becky! I know I had a *pretty good* day yesterday, but still no where close to where I want to be. I got a good chunk of the shop pages revamped yesterday, so today I only have 12 left to do.
I got up a little late today, so I feel like I'm behind already. Dang kids let me sleep in LOL.

LOL well kinda - mine I wanted to start right now, since if I wanted to meet my sales goal by the end of February I would need to have all those pages done by the end of this month.
Well a little update for me - I've got all my shopping pages finished, plus I have my entire site redesigned - YIPPIE!! I'm SO glad I got that done. Ok so it's not COMPLETELY finished - I still have a few non-main pages to go, but for the most part it's done.
Now all that's left for me to do this week is build a few pages and research more pages to get started on next week.
I will launch my Abundance Magnet Group Coaching program by the week of February 15th. Hope the week of is okay...Feb 15 is a Sunday, and I was wanting to launch it by mid-February.

Thanks Theresa! After I got the design, it really didn't take me as long as I thought to change the rest of the pages. Yesterday afternoon when I was done with everything else, I decided to *just do it* since it was standing in my way of finishing the rest of my weekly goals. Plus if I don't start building more pages soon and get rid of all these ideas in my head I'm going to explode LOL. I tend to want to just jump right in and start something once the idea hits me, so it was REALLY bugging me knowing I couldn't LOL.

I'm pleased I stubled on a niche market that is seriously a gold mine. Now if I can work it the right way it's going to put me above and beyond my goals. Ahhh.....and to think I would have never found it (by accident even)if I hadn't started this challenge

Kara--that's awesome that you discovered a "rich niche" you wouldn't have found without the challenge. I guess that's one of the cool things about these Think Big challenges--doors fly open when least expected.
My progress: "OK"
My CC processor (Clickbank) has been flakey for a couple days, so sales are down. That's ok though--I'll figure out a way to adjust for lost sales.
OH, and I'm still a bit ahead so I have a little "cushion" for at least a few days.
Now..I'm off to email potential affiliates...

Alright I'm back to post about my day. As I mentioned befor, I stumbled on a niche that made my jaw about drop to the floor. I got excited about it, so my total pages built for today was 16. I'm trying not to get too excited about the niche I found, since I could be wrong about being able to get it ranked high, and also it may not produce the sales as I think it will. Even still, I'm keeping a very close eye on it!
Well I'm just exhasted.....for some reason it feels like a Friday to me, guess just wishful thinking LOL (I have a guest comming this weekend, and I'm anxious for him to get here - I really do love my work, so that wasn't why I'm wishing it was already Friday).

Hi Tam-- COOL! Glad to see you're on board. These challenges are actually pretty fun, and you'd be surprised what you can accomplish.
Hmmmm...would completing the five volume ebook set be a good challenge? Can you do it in a month?
Kara -- that's awesome about that niche. I hope it turns out to be even bigger than you're anticipating.
For me -- I just completed some marketing "tools" for my affiliates. Now I'm going to go find people to use 'em.

Unfortunately, I'm waiting on my new site still.
My goal is 4000 hits to my Ryze page by February 15.
I just passed 2000, of which 1000 were received in the past 2 months.
So why not 2000 in 1 month???

As for my little update for today - I started out slow and dragging my feet, but as soon as I found ANOTHER niche market that has some AWSOME potential, I got right to work and built another 7 pages just tonight. *Happy Dance* .....well ok not yet, but as soon as I see those pages ranking at the top of the search engines *then* I'll be doing my happy dance LOL.

My goal of hitting 4000 on my Ryze page views is basically taking care of itself!
It's now approaching 2500 because of my upcoming launch (yes, REALLY!) on Feb. 2 and the push for input for...the Book.

I just wanted to jump in quick and wish you all luck and success. I had some personal issues so I stepped away from all my boards for a while, and in the process missed the start of both the 21-day challenge and this one . Oh well, I'll be sure to catch the next ones, and try to challenge myself in the mean time. Kara, I watched your success at TLS and know you will do just as well here with this one!
Yep, I finished off my challenge, AND I did it nearly two weeks early!! WOW! I never would have come close to making this much if I hadn't challenged myself!
How is everyone else doing? Are you on track to finish strong?

When are you going to do the next challenge, I missed out on this one. But first I need to get together with some and find out what they are doing .. I want my own website with maybe affiliates what do you think? A flea market or consignment shop with affiliate links to bring in some money until a make my first mill..? maybe? Tell me what you think... I look forward to your response.. By the way Rebecca are you making money for just the sale of your books and affliates?

YEAH BECKY! We all knew you could do it .
My challenge isn't over just yet - I've got this entire month to pull in a total of $2,000. So far this month has been pretty good. Earned $40 with affiliate programs yesterday, so it deffinately looks like a promising month! I figure I'm going to have to step it up a bit and earn at least $500 this week. *WHEW* that's quite a stretch, but I'm pretty sure I can pull it off.
Last month was EXCELLENT - I doubled my income from December, so I'm very hopeful for this month.
Time is ticking that's for sure, but I'm still hanging on!

Hmmm...hits have fallen off significantly the past week or more.

Kara -- from what you've told me, there's no doubt in my mind you'll meet your challenge (and probably not only meet, but exceed it...especially with some of those, ummm, more lucrative pages you've put up )
Dan -- don't scale back your goal just yet, since you have a few weeks. Part of the challenge is to stretch beyond what you think are your limits. Look at me--I thought it would be a stretch to make an extra $3k in a month, but not only did I do it, I did it with LOTS of time to spare!

Hardworking mom -- yep, it all came from "info products," including individual sales of my own products, my affiliates making sales, and me making sales for someone else as an affiliate.
What put me over the top were two super days this weekend. 1) When I sold resell rights to one of my products and 2) when I opened up a new membership site and charged a hefty membership fee.
So I am biased (though I think Kara would agree), but affiliates sales is a good choice for you.
