Does anyone know if Show Jewellery is legit? I paid $82 for the membership and starter kit, which gave me enough supplies to make 5 bracelets. Now you have to order the supplies from the company which is another $65 to make 30 bracelets, which they say they will then pay $285 for the finished product. Has anyone had any success with this company?

I read the web site and it does sound too good to be true. The biggest problem with it is the web site is too new to find any information on them. I really don't think I would trust it. The choice is yours but I have seen too many companies like this that promise great things but just don't come through. Good luck in whatever you decide to do. Chers

I am pretty new to all this. Is there anywhere anyone would suggest I could sell the finished product? I am looking for some ideas to help supplement my income and also to make money when I'm not working in the summer. I don't have very much money to start a business. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Speck13, I am curious what kind of beads are used to make these bracelet? Are they hard to do? Just curious because between the supply cost being a little high and what they pay. I was just wondering as the web site doesn't show a picture of them. Chers

The directions are a little confusing at first. You have to make twelve little sections and then attached them together. The first few times I tried, it took me an hour and a half to make one little section, but after a few attempts I was able to make a section in about ten minutes. The website says that a bracelet can be made in about a half hour. I would say for the first while it would take about an hour. You definately need patience. I just want to make sure this company is legit before I fork out another $65. I work for the school board in Toronto and am looking for something to do in the summer because I don't get paid.

I would be very careful with them. I really don't like the way their web site looks. First of all they never mention anythings about the way the bracelet is made even in vague terms. They don't talk about supplies used, like if they are glass beads, seed beads, etc. The other thing I don't like is from looking over their web site they don't give an email address or phone number to contact them. They list an address but it is not always easy to correspond that way. If you have something like the Better Business Bureau or a Chamber of Commerce I would check them out before going any further. I don't know if I now of any craft companies that will hire in Canada from the U.S but I will check around and see. Chers
Me and spelling! LOL

Speck13: I ordered the starer kit as well and was floored by how basic and vague the instructions were to make what looks like a complicated (and butt ugly) bracelet, lol. Anyhow, I was going to tackle my first 5 this weekend, and was wondering if there were any tips you could offer me that don't make this task seem impossible.
Thanks in advance.

Their spelling of jewellery is correct. That's the common spelling in Canada and they are located in Toronto. Canada is as multi-cultural as America. Toronto isn't a french city.

CatEyedCutie- Sorry, but I don't really have any useful tips for you. The more you practise the faster you will be. The problem I found is that the instructions were cut off at the bottom, so I don't even know how to put all of the sections together. Just make sure that the thread stays tight and the knots stay hidden. Please let me know how it goes.

I was wondering if anyone had any luck with Show Jewellery? After checking out some of the comments by you guys about the company being a scam, I sent them a letter requesting a new copy of instructions because the bottom of mine was cut off so I couldn't finish the bracelet and a new bracelet because mine was broken. About two weeks later, I received a new bracelet but no instructions. Last week I sent them a new letter telling them how disappointed I was with their company and I requested that they give me a refund or I was going to report them to the Better Business Bureau. I also told them if they made any other charges to my credit card I would have them charged with fraud. This morning I received a refund for the full amount. Hooray!!
