Hi everyone, I have been making Disciples Crosses for several weeks now -- the only reason I have not sold many back to D.C., is that I have had been lucky enough to have a huge demand for selling them locally to some church groups. I have made approx 400 crosses and sold them all for between $5/$7.50. They are not a cinch to make, you need to have a strong grip with your hands and you do need to be accurate and follow the video information exactly. I have more than recouped my investment, and have supplies on the way for another 200 crosses. I can make about 40 crosses in about 5 hours now, it was only about 10 when I first started. Like many other people who have responded to various threads at WAHM, I was initially very concerned with all the delays for shipments, but things are getting much better. If you are really looking for an honest opportunity this is it! Good luck in whatever you decide to do and God Bless. Linda http://www.disciplescross.com/offer.php?offer_id=1013 IP: Logged |

Hey,I'm definately not a WAHM, but i found this site after trying to find more info on the disciples cross. I'm 19 and a bible college student and i actually live about 30 minutes from where the Pastor is located. It seems too good to be true at first but I can see that it does seem to pay off. I'm just looking to make some extra money to help with school. Would you recommend this? Is the money you make worth the time that you spend on it? I am DEFINATELY not a crafty person. Do you think i'd still be able to do this? Thanks! -shane IP: Logged |

Hi Shane,I would highly reccomend this opportunity to anyone. You can make a good part time income or a full time income if that is what you would like. You have the opportunity to sell the crosses back to Disciple's Cross or you can sell them yourself which would yield you an even higher profit. After a little practice most people can make a cross in 15 minutes so that would yield you $40 for an hours work if you sold them on your own. Many people find that just wearing one when they go out gets sales and then there are Christian Bookstores, church groups, youth groups, etc. The list is really endless. You don't necessarily have to be "crafty" to do this, if you have a little patience and can work well with your hands then you can do this. Besides, there's a 30 day money back garuntee on the kit so you really don't have anytihng to lose. If you want to hear more there is a yahoo group set up for DC producers and people who are thinking of joining. Just send a blank email to disciplescross-subscribe@yahoogroups.com. Hope this helps! Michele Oh, I forgot to add, you can sign up for the affiliate program too and that's free. ------------------

I have enjoyed reading the posts on Disciple's Cross. I recently joined as an affiliate, but today I purchased my kit. I really look forward to getting started! This is very exciting. I'm not sure if I will sell them myself or sell them back to Disciple's Cross. I just want to get started. I appreciate all of the information that is shared on this board. It really helps WAHM's. I have been looking for an opportunity for about 7 years. Just something that I can do that will give me some spending money and is a real opportunity. I really like the meaning behind these cross necklaces. I know that I can refer other mom's to an opportunity that will hopefully benefit them. DisciplesCross

Hi all,I am by no means a work at home mom (as you can probably tell by the user name), but I am a Disciple's Cross producer. My question for all of you on this topic is this: What is the general turn around time you are seeing in your initial test batch of crosses when sending them in? I sent mine in 2 weeks ago, and have yet to hear anything. I also have a friend that is making them who sent in her crosses well over three weeks ago without a word since. Making $2000+ per month seems pretty far fetched when considering the turn around time of ordering supplies, sending them in for approval and getting paid. Any reponses will be helpful. Thanks! My first test unit took about 2 1/2 weeks... second unit took 10 days. They are getting faster. I think the key is to send in as many as you can at one time, not just 50 at a time. Also, selling them outright seems much more profitable to me than just sending them back in. Have you joined the yahoo group for DC? You can get a lot of info there. Hi all, I am new to this site and DESPERATE to make money at home ASAP. I have read only wonderful things about Disciple Crosses and do prefer to send them back to the company at least for a little while. Great info in the last post on supplies. I was wondering however, how much per unit of 50 does the company charge for supplies? And how many crosses max can you send in per week? They say you can make up to $500 per week, so say I wanted to make that much $ per week, how many crosses is that and how much am i looking at $ wise to spend out up front to make that many in a week? Plus if they are slow sending out your next batch of supplies then you would probably have to order the entire months worth at once in order to make $2000 max correct? I know I certainly dont have that kind of $!! Any advise and help would be greatly appreciated. The only thing I didnt see on the link from the last post was the little cards that I've seen that are printed up with the story of the crosses. So if I wanted to get supplies cheaper elsewhere and send them to the company, how would I do so without that little card that they send you with the supplies you get from THEM? TIA Candi~IP: Logged |

Hi Candi,Supplies for 50 crosses costs $50 (plus S & H). You get reimbursed $1 for supplies per cross that is accepted so you will get that money back... even if you end up selling them youself you will recoup that money. You can send in 400 max per week. To make $500 a week you'd need to send in and have accepted about 225 crosses. That would cost you your starter kit money $69 (plus S & H) plus $225 for enough supplies to make 225 crosses plus however much it costs you to buy your tools. Now, if you choose to sell them on your own then you can make more money with less crosses because they retial for $9.99 whereas D.C. buys them back from you for $2.25 for each unit of 50 ($1.25 for the initial test unit). Supplies will take at least a week to get to you so you want to make sure you order ahead of time so you can get them by when you want them. You can buy the little tags directly from DC, you don't have to purchase an entire supply kit to get the tags, they sell them seperatly. My best advice would be to aign up with the affiliate program when you order your kit that way you can have two streams of income, the crosses and money from new sign ups. I'd also suggest selling them on your own vs. sending them back in that way you can earn more. Ive ordered bookmarks from RETS and failed and then made another and havent sent it in, just cant seem to get the edges of the Faith Bracelets stright by Simple Knots so haven't sent one in yet and keep coming back to the crosses for some reason. Someone mentioned pliers that are rounded on the end instead of pointed. Does anyone know what to ask for when looking for these? I am not a tool type of girl. Someone else mentioned a product called Christian Minatures. What is this? There was nothing else posted after that. Thanks again! Candi~IP: Logged |

Hi Candi,Not sure about the rounded end pliers... I assume they mean the vice grips and most all I have seen have rounded ends so that shouldn't be a problem to find. I have a few on my web site that I found and some I have ordered from amazon.com, take a look here and you will see them. Just look at the link that has the resources for Disciple's Cross Producers. The 10 inch ones there are the ones I bought and they have a rounded tip. The yahoo group also has some pics in the photos file so you can join that as well to get more info (send blank email to disciplescross-subscibe@yahoogroups.com). I don't know anything about the minitures... I saw that post too but never really looked into it... maybe email the person who posted it and they should be able to help you. Glad I could help! This thread has been so interesting! Sounds like the biggest hurdle is to not get discouraged because of the practice it takes to physically make the crosses. Kind of reminds me of when I took a guitar class and my fingers hurt soooo bad, and it took soooo long to learn one line! Then after a while it wasn't so bad! :-)Anyway, I ran across this opportunity a couple of days ago and have been researching it's legitimacy. My hubby already did a check to see if the Pastor's info matched up with the domain thingy... (computer stuff I don't get! lol!) Two questions... when you start making money, how do you handle your taxes, and also, I've heard about selling them on your own. How is this done? I'm not into being a sales person, this why the sell back method appeals, but I am curious in case I get brave to go out there! Thanks in advance! Cheers! Sheri IP: Logged |

I'd say go check out the Christian supply stores in your area. You can find them in your phone book. They are little shops that sell religious items like bookmarks, tapes, bibles, anything you can imagine. Go in and ask them if they carry the crosses and if they say no then show them a completed one and then work out a fair price if they are interrested, have some business cards or somehting made up and maybe give the person in charge a freebie necklace with your business card so if they decide they are interrested they can call you. I dont know how everyone else is selling them. I am sure if you go to church they will be a hit with the youth group so wear them to church! IP: Logged |

For one thing, the have a guaranteed buy back program, and you also have 30 days to return your kit and get your money back. I also like what the Disciple's Cross necklace stands for. Good Luck! Hi Ellen,This is the other Michele (only one "l") Thought I could help you out here. Pastor John does sell the needle nose pliers on his site. They are $8. I just ordered those and am sure they will work better than the only I currently use as they are a bit too big. I got my vice grip pliers on amazon.com and have those listed on my web site http://www.crossnecklaces.faithweb.com, just look at the page with the resources for producers and you can see them there (link in my sig line). Pastor John also suggests needle nose vice grips and those are very handy, I do have those as well. Other than those three you don't really "need" any other tools, although different people have other toosl they like just to make things a little easier. Congrats on ordering your kit! Thank God for this forum! Isn't the computer a wonderful thing! I had come across the Disciples Cross website a while back and thought that it was another "assemble at home" scam and passed on the opportunity. I'm so glad that I found this thread! I have been looking and praying for legitimate Christian businesses to promote (by the way, changing the subject a bit, but just a note to all of my fellow Catholic moms, I have a Catholic website through The Catholic Company that pays me 20% of all sales called http://www.SaintsInTheMaking.com. I don't get credit for you signing up under me or anything, I just wanted to let you know. They pay up to 35% commissions and I have been doing this now for over a year) But anyway, back to the topic at hand. I am going to sign up for this and also promote it on my work-at-home website. Hi Everyone! Thanks to Michele (with one l) for the tool info. I got an email that my kit is on it's way--so excited! I was wondering, does anyone see this as a long-term opportunity? Do you think PJ will add any other products in the future? I am thinking of maybe branching out (in time) to create some handmade jewelry of my own. I am afraid that one day PJ may send out an announcement that DC is over with and I will be hanin' out in the wind for income. In spite of this I am just gonna trust in the Lord and go with it. To be honest, I sent him an email with my concerns, and received no reply. I am not too worried about it though. I am sure the man cannot possibly respond to every email he gets! In the meantime, I going to remain positive, and not let the doubts crowd out my purpose and goals. I really just can't wait to get started. Will keep you posted on my progress. Hi Ellenmarie,Glad I could help with the tools Aa for emailing D.C., you would be better off calling them... they arn't too good about replying to emails but they answer their phone right away and are always willing to help with whatever you need. That WOULD be great if they add more items down the line. I was thinking like you, I would like to add more jewlery later on to what I make but I've never made any jewlery until now so it's going to take a little research before I would be able to do that Michele ------------------ Disciple's Cross Learn more!
