Good Morning All, The first pliers I used for the top did the same thing... and the loops were way too big. I am now using my hubby's computer needle nose pliers for the cord bends at the top. they are small but sturdy. I got him a nice kit for Christmas one year at Sears. They are Craftsman Precision Pliers. The kit wasnt that much on sale but you can also get them individually. They have a nice soft cushion grip that is blue. I found those to be the most comfortable and I can make the bend easily and right now. I too have problems with the angles in the middle being as tight as the sample. Will work on it again tonight. My DH, Darling Hubby, said maybe he would bend the nails for me (make a bunch kinda thing) and I could do the rest. We'll see if he has time, but he is awesome for offering... He looked at me funny when I showed him the kit, like--oh, another scheme. But when he saw my finished one he was excited about the ministry and prospect of it. My best to everyone!! Thanks for the great ideas and fellowship! Hugs, Sharon ------------------ Lissa's Mom IP: Logged |

Hello all, I found the pliers in a kit at Super Wal-mart, However the handles don't seem to be as long as his on the video but I'm going to try them. I've been to Home Depot and Lowes and I have not been able to find the nails. Anyone know what they are called? Do you get this through a craft store like Hobby Lobby?Kerry IP: Logged |

Hi everyone thanks so much for keeping us all updated on how it is going.I still have not ordered the kit yet , I guess I am waiting to see if I think I can make these or not, I am not sure if I can. After you get your first Cross made do you think you will be able to make the rest faster? Also do you think this is something that can be done while a 2 yr old is running around? or do you need a big space like a certain work area to do it? I also read a thread something about using a drip, just wondered what that meant do you have to stain or paint them after you make them? I am so sorry for all the questions guys just want to make sure I can do this before I order. Thank you and GOD BLESS ------------------ donna mom of kayla, chase, noah IP: Logged |

Donna:Yes, I am doing the affiliate program. I saw that you ordered your kit. Did you use my link? If not, that's ok. Also, everyone - would you all be interested in joining a Yahoo group if I set one up? I thought we could use that to help each other, give advice/tips, etc. I would give it to Pastor John so that he can give it to other producers also. I like the Yahoo groups because you can get the messages sent to your email box and/or read them on the board or get them in digest form Any thoughts? Thanks for the input everyone. I'm still waiting to see how things go before I consider this. As far as groups, I help run an MSN group(I do the graphics). I like it better than Yahoo because you get to add graphics and such. You can also have messages sent to your inbox with MSN groups (you get the choice). Good luck everyone.Sandra P. IP: Logged |

I have a silly question to ask you I am interested in doing the affiliate program too but I do not know anything about how to do one , do you have your own website and advertise it? or are you just using it in your signature line? I hope you do not mind me asking you this stuff, you have been a GOD SEND thank you for everything you have helped me with! ------------------ donna mom of kayla, chase, noah IP: Logged |

Hi Donna: I've had to limited my computer time, so I haven't been on as much the last couple of days. I've actually set aside the crosses for a couple of days in search of more nails. I want to make sure I have enough to practice with before I continue. I mentioned that I'm a perfectionist, and I actually haven't finished one yet. I'm using some spare wire I have here to practice with, so I've been wrapping and unwrapping them until I get them to a point I'm "happy" with them. Aren't I terrible? As for the affiliate program, right now, all I've been doing is putting it in my signature, both on the WAHM.com site and in my regular email address. I've noticed many hits. So, when I do get a website for my scrapbooking business, I'll add it to that, also. I don't mind the questions at all. They help us all learn. How's it going for everyone else? It's been a few days and I was just wondering how the crosses are going? Are they getting easier? Has anyone turned theirs in to see if they pass inspection? I'm anxious to hear how that goes. To me, that will be the true test as to whether I purchase a kit. If someone turns in their crosses and they are all accepted, then I'll know that it's a legitimate opportunity and I'll order my kit. But until then, I guess I'm just a chicken....Franny IP: Logged |

Bridget528 I received my package yesterday afternoon , have you got yours yet?I was so excited to open it kind of like a kid in a candy store LOL , I went to Sears and thought I got the tools he used but when I got a better chance to watch the video without kids around LOL I need to get different ones I got the wrong pliers I am going to take these back to Sears I wrote down what I think I need this time so I should be able to get them tomorrow. After that I can't wait to get the time to watch the video and try to make one, I am wearing his sample I just think everything every piece of it represents is amazing! My kids love them too and cannot wait until I can make them one! A few people have posted to ask if anyone has actually gotten paid doing this yet. And yes on our yahoo message board their is a guy who posted he sent in his samples and Pastor John accepted all of them and he got paid for them! That is so exciting because I know that is the true test for all of us. I am very excited about this opportunity and feel GOD has led me to this so I hope and pray it turns out for the good! Bridget528 Hi how are you doing? I read over the papers that came with mine and I think in our papers it says you do not get material reimbursement for the test kit but I do believe you get paid for doing them you just do not get the material money back like you do when you send in 50 or more, I could be wrong but I am pretty sure that is what it says, I hope this makes you feel a little more at ease.I am on my 3rd one they are getting easier except for twisting the wire I still cannot get that down but I know I will of course the ones I have made I would no way send in so I am going to have quite a few test ones but I really think it will get easier I just think they are wonderful! good luck donna ------------------ donna mom of kayla, chase, noah Osbornes Outlet www.donna.Y99.net For more information on the Disciples Cross work at home business opportunity go to http://disciplescross.com/offer.php?offerid=389 IP: Logged |

Okay, so some of you have had the supplies for about 2-3 weeks now but no one has turned in any samples yet? Is that correct? Is that because you can't get them to look like his sample or it's taking you a long time to make them?I'm just trying to decide if this is something that someone could do from home and actually make a couple hundred dollars a month. But if it takes that long to make them, it may not be worth it. I'm not trying to be negative, just trying to figure out if I should purchase the kit too or not. Franny IP: Logged |

hello franny I have had my kit for a week and a half and I have not made one I am happy with yet , his sample is excellent so I am trying to make it to look like his ,but it is fun and they are beautiful it might actually be easier to sell them on your own than back to him , I am not sure, I have not even made one good enough to let my kids wear around yet LOL!It is harder than he says of course most things are but I will keep trying because I think this will be a great ministry however he says he will buy back up to 400 a week I do not see how anyone could make that many without your fingers falling off! I do however believe you could make a couple hundred a month from him after you get the hang of it, I think it is like any thing else it just takes a while! good luck in your decision we will keep everyone updated here when we send some in! ------------------ donna mom of kayla, chase, noah Osbornes Outlet www.donna.Y99.net For more information on the Disciples Cross work at home business opportunity go to http://disciplescross.com/offer.php?offerid=389 IP: Logged |

Hi all! I was so excited I had made 12 crosses that I was really comfortable with and then I found the checklist on the sending in page and realized that I had anchored the middle wire on the front of the cross instead of the back... I am so disapointed now! All that work. Anyway I ordered more supplies hopefully they will arrive soon and I can begin again. It is so much quicker bending all the nails first then doing the wire. Anyway great advice from someone who did the whole last step backwards...lolGood luck! I am having fun making them, but I also keep looking at the one I make and the one the sent with and keep thinking - mine doesn't look that good. So.....I will keep practicing. As for making money - I think it can be made, but we also have to keep in mind how long he has been making them. I also think just like with anything else it is going to take time and energy and LOTS of practice if you have never made one before. I am getting better with each one I make. It is just going to take time.

Has anyone gotten paid yet. Is this really difficult to do? I've tried craft at home companies before and the items took a LOOOOONG time to make and then the companies didn't pay or didn't accept the items. This sounds more reliable.
