Princess House: A WAHM's Guide

Princess House has been selling unique and beautiful cookware and home decor since 1963. Princess House prides itself on providing hostesses with top of the line products at bargain prices. Princess House sells cookware, bakeware and tableware along with home accessories. Through home parties and other direct sales approaches, consultants give real women the opportunity to entertain in luxury.

Starting

In order to begin as a Lifestyle consultant, you need to purchase the Princess House starter kit. The kit costs $139 and includes $585 worth of products and business supplies that you'll need to host your first parties. Princess House provides each of its consultants with free training and a free website to introduce Princess House products to potential customers. Princess also has two rewards programs that allow you to earn free merchandise during your first eight weeks with the company.

Compensation

As a Princess House consultant, the majority of your income comes from home party sales. The national average for a home party is $400 in commission. The commission structure varies depending on how much you sell each month. If you sell less than $1250 over a 4 week sales period, you'll make 25% commissions. If you sell up to $1999, the commission goes up to 30%. If you sell over $2000 in a 4 week period, you'll make a 35% commission on sales.

Thriving

Part-time consultants who work 3 parties a week can make around $1700 a month. The more parties you work and the more time you devote to the business, the more likely you are to increase your income potential. You can also increase your earnings by working with new consultants and helping them grow their businesses. Top earning consultants are eligible to win luxurious vacations and free products and supplies. You can also earn recruiting incentives if you build a strong and active downline.

Is It for You?

Princess House is a great opportunity, but it's not appropriate for all WAHMs. It helps if you are a motivated sales person with a gift for gab. Princess House is also well-suited for you if you know how to network and feel comfortable persuading your family and friends to host parties and help you launch your business. Because there are no minimums or sales requirements, Princess House is great for WAHMs looking for a part-time job to earn a little extra spending money. Some part-time consultants work once a month and others host a couple of parties two nights a week. Either way, Princess House gives you the flexibility to create your own schedule and work when you want.

The company also is great for WAHMs looking for a full-time career. Full-time consultants spend over 20 hours a week building and promoting their businesses. If you're looking to earn a substantial income from Princess House, you can do so by booking a large number of parties and building an extensive sales team. Regardless of whether you're looking for a casual part-time gig or a full-time career, it helps to have weekend and night availability, as that is when most people want to host parties.
