Easy Apple Dumplings

 
An apple dumpling is a pastry filled with apple, cinnamon and occasionally raisins. Apples are peeled and cored, placed on a portion of dough, then filled with cinnamon and sugar. Then the dough is folded over the apples and the dumplings are baked until tender.


Ingredients:

2small granny smith apples
2can 8 ounce crescent rolls
1cup butter
2cups sugar
1teaspoon vanilla
10ounces Mountain Dew soda
cinnamon

Procedure:

Step 1 - Peel and slice apples into 16 slices.
Step 2 - Roll 1 apple slice into each crescent roll and place into 13x9-inch baking dish.
Step 3 - Melt butter, sugar and vanilla in a sauce pan (do not caramelize)!
Step 4 - Just enough heat to melt the sugar.
Step 5 - Pour over rolls, sprinkle with cinnamon; then pour Mountain Dew over the top of rolls.
Step 6 - Bake for 30 minutes at 350
Step 7 - Then cover with foil and bake another 10 minutes.
Step 8 - Serve warm and enjoy!
