Marketing Manager
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
a) Establishes new and maintains current client relationships and other key relationships for the California region on behalf of the California Bank and Trust (CB&T).
b) Markets products and services to new and established CB&T clientele.
c) Prepares and conducts lender and school visits and presentations.
d) Identifies CB&T and customer needs, and proposes new products and services to meet ne
ds. e) Assists in the development of CB&T promotional strategies and related activities.
f) Handles changing priorities and other duties as assigned.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
a) Performs administrative and support functions for marketing activities.
b) Assists with the evaluation of current market conditions and recommends marketing plans.
c) Provides materials necessary for the preparation and execution of marketing plans.
d) Performs ad hoc analyses and supports project needs of management as needed.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
~ Bachelors degree in Marketing, Communications, or Business or equivalent combination of training and experience.
~ Three years of general marketing experience or a position involving multi-faceted customer interfacing and communications.
~ Two years of sales experience in the student loan and financial aid industry.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:
~ Knowledge of the student loan industry and the financial aid process.
~ Knowledge of the Family Federal Education Loan Program (FFELP).
~ Effective organizational skills.
~ Effective written and verbal communication skills.
~ Ability to establish new and grow existing client relationships.
~ Ability to translate concepts into tangible marketing strategies.
~ Ability to formulate alternative approaches and solutions to problems.
~ Ability to function within an MS Windows/Office Software environment.
~ Ability to handle confidential information with tact and discretion.
~ Ability to work independently and as a part of a team.
~ Ability to complete assigned projects in a timely manner.
~ Ability to maintain regular and predictable attendance.
~ Ability to manage shifting priorities with tight deadlines.
